Stigli smo sada još veći broj! Najavljujemo 30. gosta 10. MSV-a (2025) — dobrodošao Ger Apeldoorn!
Kada je riječ o Geru, on je započeo svoju karijeru prevodeći američke stripove za Junior Press, prevodeći djela poput X-Men, The Fantastic Four i The Protectors.
We’ve reached an even higher number now! We’re announcing the 30th guest of the 10th MSV (2025) — welcome Ger Apeldoorn!
When it comes to Ger, he began his career by translating American comics for Junior Press, translating works like The X-Men, The Fantastic Four, and The Protectors. He began contributing to the renowned Dutch fanzine Striprofiel at the age of 17, where he interviewed and produced pieces about a variety of Dutch artists such as Will Eisner, Jeff Jones, Jean Giraud and Colin Wilson just to name a few. He then went on to write for Stripschrift — and lead the Stripschapprijzen commission for eleven years — and contribute to the news sections of the biweekly Eppo magazine since 2012 and onward. His most recent series, ,,Dutch”, telling the story of a cowboy who arrives in Europe in 1870, was his first true smash. Just to name a few awards, he had won the Het Gouden Beeld, Stripschappenning, as well as the Eisner Award Nomination.
He is still an advisor for StripGlossy and Eppo, where he evaluates portfolios and provides artists advice on how to get in touch with Dutch publishers. When you take a look at his work, it only makes sense that someone like him would give out advice… he knows what he’s doing. ??
